Karnataka State Open University KSOU Distance Education B.Ed Admission Procedure, Eligibility Criteria 2017-2018

Established in the year 1996, Karnataka State Open University is accepted as the 8th Open University instituted in India. Being a pioneer of distance learning in the country, it aims at imparting quality education not only to the door steps of the students in the State of Karnataka but all over the world. It is commended as a leader in Open Distance Learning system in the country, recognized by the Distance Education Council (New Delhi) as well as the University Grants Commission. It is also a member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

Karnataka State Open University is located in a serene environment i.e., in the North-West corner of the campus Manasagangotri (Mysore station), about 5 km from the town.
Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) B.Ed course is of 2 years duration.

• An applicant willing to seek Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) B.Ed course should have a graduation degree or a post graduation degree in the stream of Arts/Science from a reputed and recognized University/a deemed University.

• Full time working teacher in any level from a recognized educational institution with a minimum of two years experience are eligible to seek admission to this course.

• Part-time teachers/ honorary teachers will not be eligible to pursue this course.

In order to gain admission to the distance education B Ed course, the eligible candidates will have to qualify Karnataka State Open University B.Ed entrance exam. The selection of the candidates through correspondence will be on the basis of merit followed by their performance in the counseling session conducted by the University.
